How Recallr handles your data.

Transparency matters. This page outlines the information we collect when you use Recallr, how we use that information, and the steps you can take to control it.

Overview

Recallr is a mobile and desktop app backed by the Recallr API. This privacy policy only covers the in-app experience and supporting services—it does not apply to our marketing landing page or other promotional sites.

We designed the product so your personal data is handled by dedicated identity and billing partners rather than our own servers. Clerk manages authentication for Recallr, RevenueCat handles subscription entitlements, and our application server processes requests without persisting user information locally.

Information we collect

Recallr itself does not store profile data, workspace content, or payment details on our infrastructure. Instead, we rely on specialist processors:

  • Clerk stores the personal information you provide for authentication, such as your email address and sign-in history. We access Clerk only to confirm you are authorised to use Recallr.
  • RevenueCat manages subscription status and purchase history so we can unlock premium features. We do not retain the raw receipts or billing identifiers on our own systems.

Beyond the details held by these partners, Recallr does not collect or maintain additional personal data.

How we use information

We rely on the data supplied by Clerk and RevenueCat to:

  • Authenticate your session and keep your account secure.
  • Verify subscription status and unlock premium features for eligible accounts.
  • Respond to account support requests, including subscription questions.

Recallr does not use your data for advertising or train external AI models.

Sharing and transfers

We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms. Access to Clerk and RevenueCat is limited to the small Recallr team responsible for customer support and billing.

If we are required by law to disclose information, we will only do so after reviewing the request and confirming it is valid.

Security measures

Recallr relies on Clerk and RevenueCat for secure storage of personal data. Our own infrastructure focuses on stateless request handling and uses encrypted connections for all traffic.

We also keep detailed audit logs for authentication events and subscription changes to monitor for suspicious activity.

Your choices

You can manage your personal data through Clerk and RevenueCat:

  • Use Clerk to update your email address, sign-in methods, or delete your account.
  • Manage subscription status through the App Store, Google Play, or directly via RevenueCat links in the app.
